We are Alison and Lesley, two sisters who, after a lifetime of global business travel, have settled in Lymington to pursue our shared passion for needlework and knitting—a tradition we began as young girls. Upon retiring from careers in high-end retailing, we founded Alesney Designs to channel our energy and creativity into crafting unique, handmade textile products.

Each of our products is individually handmade by us, aiming to infuse style and whimsy into everyday textile items. We focus on combining functionality with high-quality fabrics and unique designs. As we personally create each item, we can modify them to meet individual customer requirements, including personalisation.

Our primary outlet has been the Saturday Lymington Market since 2012. You can also find us in the Craft Tent at the New Forest Show at the end of July and at various other selected shows throughout the year, such as the Romsey Food Festival.

We source high-quality fabrics from the UK, Germany, and the US, using upholstery-weight cottons for durability. Our products include aprons, tableware, and kitchenware, all crafted with care and attention to detail.
